PROGRAM

This concert is a dedication to a great man, a man who broke the hearts of women with his charming baritone, drowned at sea, for the first time we heard The Beatles in his performance, and, of course, everyone singed a troubadour from the Bremen musicians.

Muslim Magomayev was born on August 17, 1942 in Baku. He graduated from the musical school in the class of piano, then the music school, after - the Baku Conservatory in the class vocal. Magomaev was first noticed at a youth festival in Helsinki in 1962, where he became a laureate for performing songs "Buchenwald Nabut" and "Do Russians Want Wars". In 1963, with his concerts, Magomayev literally conquered Moscow. The success was terrific. He freely owned not only pop music, but also operatic material. In 1964, he went on an annual internship at the Milan Opera House "La Scala".

After Milan he acted in the largest cities of the Soviet Union. In 1966 and 1969, the tour of Magomayev with great success was held at the famous theater "Olympia" in Paris. The singer participated in all major government concerts and holiday programs on Soviet television. Secretary General of the Communist Party Leonid Brezhnev especially liked to listen to his Italian song "Bella, chao.

He received the title of People's Artist in 1973, when he was 31 years old. In 1975 the singer created the Azerbaijan State Symphonic Orchestra and was his unchanging artistic director until 1989. Magomayev managed to popularize modern western trends in music, which were persecuted by the party's top party leadership. It was in his performance from a large scene that for the first time in the Soviet Union there was a song "Yesterday" by the legendary group The Beatles. Magomayev composed music, took part in filming: "Singing Muslim Magomayev," "Nizami," "Moscow in Notes," often toured abroad. The songs in his performance - "Elegy", "Thank you", "Melody", "Nocturne" and hundreds of others have become hits that thanks to the artist will be popular for many years. The singer performed leading parties in the operas "Tosca" by J. Puccini, "The Magic Flute" and "The Wedding of Figaro" by Mozart, "Seville Barber" by Dzh.Rossini, "Othello" and "Rigoletto" by J. Verdi, "Faust" by S. Guno, "Aleko" by S. V. Rachmaninov, "Eugene Onegin" by P. I. Tchaikovsky, "Pyatitsy" by R. Leonckavallo. "Magomayev's voice sings the love serenade of Trubadur in the popular cartoon" In the footsteps of the Bremen musicians ".

The repertoire of one of the country's most popular singers was extremely diverse - pop songs, opera arias, Russian romances, popular hits by Western composers, an inevitable patriotic pathetic for that time. State awards and awards alternated with international ones - the first prize at the festival in Sopot, "Golden Plate" in Cannes. Any operatic aria, any song in its performance - it has always been and is the expected miracle.

Our duty is to preserve the memory of this great man, a brilliant singer, beautiful actor and composer for future generations.

Moslim is among us, although he has left this world already nine years ago. Magomayev is a sign singer, one of the leading figures and the best of the Soviet pop music. His Strong baritone, talent, bright appearance, warm look and a smile with which he went out on stage and met those who came to his concert, stunning performance and openness to people, made the artist a short favorite for everyone who loves music. Today, we are acutely aware of the loss of this bright person. This inner beauty of his soul, his stunning talent, which he generously gave to people, it was all ingenious and beautiful.

It is good that, over the years, nothing has been lost, on the contrary, the number of admirers of talent of the Great Musician multiplied many times! Among them there are many young people. The young generation reveals the name "Muslim Magomayev". His work is interesting and modern. So, life goes on. The creative legacy left by the Maestro for us is an invaluable gift. He gives inspiration to people. Even the distance is not a barrier, he continues to sing to us his Rhapsody of Love ....

Such stars do not go away. Many fans of music will again and again discover for themselves the wonderful work of composer and singer Muslima Magomayeva.
