PROGRAM

Knock on the cobblestone streets of Dnieper rings, leads us along the streets of our memory the son of a poor Jewish artisan, "a shoemaker without a boot" (Volodymyr Shcherbak). There is no time, mixed up the era. And, as if running rays, are brightly illuminated in the memory of the pages of the life of your beloved city. Cities of many nationalities, a city that gave the world many talents: writers, poets, musicians, scientists and engineers.

And in the studio of a shoemaker, an old gramophone sounds. And the album "Sing the sisters of Berry". The singing of the soloists of Dnipropetrovsk Philharmonic, the sisters of Julia Mandicz and Zinaida Chapi are sung in the same way, they sound in the same way, intermingling together. But the song "Woo NEMT Men and the Bean Masl" ("Where to Take Me a Little of Happiness"), sisters sing in Russian still, but others sound like Yiddish, Hebrew, English - just as their sisters Berry sang in the same "Swing" style. Bright, full of enchanting power of performance fills the hall, viewers are once again splashed into applause. After all, all songs are well known, we loved them in childhood and in youth, we love it now. How not to recognize in the sad sounds of the violin famous "Bulls of cigar" (Olga Avanesova). How not to recognize the funny popuire of Easter songs "Give Daine" (We would have been enough), because we sing these songs every year. As if it were not enough to catch a little bedside "Lechayim" (For life), wedding "Yo Mein Libe Tochter" (Yes, my beloved daughter) and of course, sad "Vise with Gusl Hessel" (Where is this street). Everyone knows this song, in Russian, but not everyone knows that this is a pogrom. The boy returned to his native town, and can not find either a beloved girl or his home. All died. But "Sisters of Berry" nevertheless returned the song the status of a hat, dedicated to unlucky love and betrayal, here in their manner, the song is performed by Yulia Mandich and Zinaida Chepa.

But "Adidas Mom" (My Jewish Mom) is popular for a long time and firmly. Another soloist of the Philharmonic - Vlad Martynov - sings it. In his excellent performance, the children's Purim song "Chiribim-chirib" and "Hava Nagila" (Let's Raise) sound an ancient Hasidic melody, written and processed by one of the meters of modern Israeli music by Abraham Zvi Idelson.

And, of course, it was not without the popular "Bai world bis te shane" (For me you are the most beloved), Odessa "Shmavrovoznika" and a gentle song "Their HOB dich zu fil lyb" (I love you so much).

In the finale, the welcome song "Heveinu Shalom Aleichem" sounds like a greetings to all the audience and our beloved city.

Want to be charged with positive energy, forget about the time of caring and illness? Do not go to the psychologists, but go to the Philharmonic, for the performance "Sisters of Berry", walk through the streets of our memory. And if you are young - in the streets where the childhood of your parents passed, along with talented and bright singers and show-ballet "Cadence". She is helping her.
